The Indigo Girls
For more than three decades the folk-rock of Emily Saliers and Amy Ray have entertained audiences far and wide. Now, they have added a Wilmington show to their current spring lineup.
The two musicians met in elementary school and went on to release over a dozen albums, embark on worldwide tours and secure top honors, including the 1990 Grammy for Best Contemporary Folk Recording for their self-titled album including their seminal hit “Closer to Fine.”
In 2022 The Indigo Gilrs won Spirit of Americana/Free Speech Award at the Americana Music Honors and Awards and were inducted into the Women Songwriters Hall of Fame.
The ladies have become known for their activism for LGBTQ+ rights, immigration reform, education, abolishing capital punishment and Native Americans rights.
They perform at Greenfield Lake on April 14. Tickets go on sale to the public Friday, Jan. 27, 10 a.m.

Lukas Nelson and the Promise of the Real
Lukas Nelson and Promise of the Real will return for their annual sojourn to Wilmington, performing at Greenfield Lake Amphitheater on April 7 and 8.
Nelson has been known to host pre-show jams at a farmers market that pops up at the amphitheater. No word yet on whether that will take place this year.
The 19-date tour kicks off on April Fools Day and treks from Charles Town, West Virginia, to Ventura, California. The band has released seven studio albums, including 2021’s “A Few Stars Apart.”
Tickets go on sale this Friday, Jan. 27, 10 a.m.
