WILMINGTON — The 2022 concert season in Wilmington continues to flesh out: On sale Friday will be tickets to The Head and the Heart’s Every Shade of Blue Tour 2022.

The Seattle indie folk band will stop at Live Oak Bank Pavilion in Wilmington on Sept. 21.

Jonathan Russell, Charity Rose Thielen, Matt Gervais, Chris Zasche, Kenny Hensley, and Tyler Williams have released four albums at The Head and the Heart, including their self-titled debut in 2011, “Let’s Be Still” in 2013, “Signs of Light” in 2016 and “Living Mirage” in 2019.

They have hit the Number One singles chart in the U.S. with “Lost in My Mind,” “All We Ever Knew,” and “Missed Connection.”

The band revealed in August 2021 they were working on another album, yet haven’t disclosed a release date. Their 2022 tour will include opening acts Jade Bird, Dawes and Shakey Graves, the latter of which will be at the Wilmington show.

Tickets go on sale Friday, Jan. 21, 10 a.m., the same day in which The Head and the Heart will release a new track, “Every Shade of Blue.”
