WILMINGTON — Indie folk-pop band Bon Iver, founded in 2006 by Justin Vernon, announced a 23-date tour slated to kick off next spring. The band — Vernon, Sean Carey, Jenn Wasner, Mike Lewis, Matt McCaughan and Andy Fitzpatrick — will be coming through Wilmington in celebration of 10 years of its Grammy-winning album, “Bon Iver.”

The show at Live Oak Bank Pavilion at Riverfront Park will take place Apr. 12, with opener Dijon (Bonny Light Horseman and Carm are opening some dates on the tour as well). Artist presale tickets will go on sale Wednesday, Oct. 27, and tickets will open to the general public starting Friday, Oct. 29, 10 a.m.

Bon Iver will release a 10th anniversary edition of the self-titled release on Mar. 25, 2022. “Bon Iver” won the Grammy in 2012 for Best New Artist (and again in 2017 for Best Alternative Music Album for “22, A Million). The 10th anniversary release will come with special additions, such as Justin Vernon and Sean Carey’s AIR Studios session, a blind embossed version of the original cover art and a personal essay from long-time fan Phoebe Bridgers. Pre-orders can be placed here.

Bon Iver’s last and fourth release was 2019’s “i,i,” which charted No. 1 on the Billboard’s US Folk Band Albums and US Independent Albums.
