With heavy hearts and profound love, we announce the passing of our beloved Frances Register Parker, known affectionately by her grandchildren and great grandchildren as Grandma and Mama Frances. Frances departed this life peacefully from Lower Cape Fear Life Care at the age of 90.
Frances Rogenia Register, was born in Four Oaks, NC, November 8, 1934. She later moved to Harnett County and graduated from Dunn High School. Frances was preceded in death by her parents, Woodrew Register and Pearline Register Sheldon; brother, Robert Register and sister, June Register Rogers.
Frances is survived by her loving husband of 69 years, Benjamin Aiken Parker, daughters Tina Parker Carlisle and Boni Parker Hall, grandchildren Parker, Pierce, Frances Ruth and three great grandchildren.
Frances and Ben met in high school at the ages of 18 and 19 and married on January 8, 1956. Mr. and Mrs. Parker made their home in Orlando, Florida from 1957 to 1994. Frances retired from Chrysler Credit Corporation as an administrative assistant. In 1996, Frances and Ben moved to the beautiful city of Wilmington, NC. She maintained long-term friendships with many of her “Florida Friends” while also making incredibly new friendships in the tarheel state.
Frances began her walk with God in her early years as a child. Her relationship grew and changed as her roles in life changed throughout her 90 years. She gave Him credit for her special life and leaned on his promises for eternal life. Frances was the heart and soul of our family — a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and cherished friend. She lived a full and beautiful life rooted in faith, love, and kindness. Her unwavering devotion to the Lord was evident in how she lived her life using her gentle spirit as a guiding light to all who knew her.
Family meant everything to Frances. She nurtured generations with warmth, wisdom, and an open heart. Her kitchen was always filled with the comforting aromas of home-cooked meals, Friday afternoon cakes for the kids, and the sound of laughter. She leaves behind a legacy of love through her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and all who had the blessing of calling her friend. Whether through a kind word, a warm embrace, or her faithful example, Frances touched lives in ways that will never be forgotten.
As we celebrate her amazing 90 years, we find comfort in knowing she is now at peace, reunited with those who went before her, and resting in the eternal presence of the Lord she so dearly loved. Her life was a blessing, her memory a treasure. She is loved beyond words and missed beyond measure.
