WILMINGTON — Sherrill “Sherry” Anne McCarley of Wilmington, NC, passed away peacefully on May 3, 2025 at Lower Cape Fear LifeCare. Born on September 30, 1938 in New York, NY, she lived a full and meaningful life of 86 years.
Sherry was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Ret LTC Eugene C. McCarley.
Sherry is survived by her children, Michael E. McCarley and Nancy, Robert “Bob” A. McCarley and Susan R. McCarley; her cherished grandchildren, Rebecca A. Thornburgh, Matthew H. McCarley, Sarah E. McCarley (Marshall), Mitchell E. McCarley (Carrie) and 4 great-grandchildren.
