WILMINGTON — Carolyn Watters, age 80, of Wilmington, North Carolina went to be with the Lord on May 4, 2025. She was born in Wilmington, North Carolina to her parents Wilson Ward and Ruth Boswell Ward.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Charles R. Watter Sr., daughter Lesa Watters, and her brother Ervin Ray Ward.
Carolyn enjoyed baking cakes for family and friends and even made extra pocket money selling her cakes around town. She could also be found sitting on her deck reading and watching the birds. She was a great friend and never met a stranger.
She is survived by her sons: Charles R. Watters Jr., and Troy B. Watters and wife Jennifer Watters; grandson Brent M. Watters and brother Earl Ward.
Visitation for Carolyn will be held on Thursday, May 8, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Freedom Baptist Church, 802 N College Rd, Wilmington, North Carolina 28405.
Funeral Service will start at 12:00 PM on Thursday, May 8, 2025, with Pastor Dodd Mays officiating. Interment will follow at Sea Gate Cemetery, Wilmington, North Carolina.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to American Cancer Society.
