OAK ISLAND — It is with great sorrow that the family of Bobbie Fee Frazier announces her passing at the age of 92 on April 24, 2025.
Bobbie was a resident of Oak Island, North Carolina.
Born on August 9, 1932, in Lee County, Virginia, to Loran Cassidy and Mary Ellen Fee, she had one brother, Larry W. Fee. The family later moved to Greensboro, North Carolina, where she completed her education at Greensboro High School. Bobbie married her beloved husband, Carlton Eugene Frazier, on June 21, 1952, in Greensboro. Together, they raised three sons in Guilford County. In 1987, Bobbie and Gene made Oak Island, NC, their permanent home. Gene passed away on May 12, 1997, and Bobbie continued to reside in their home until April 2025.
Following her move to Oak Island and dedicating time to raise her family, Bobbie re-entered the workforce as an Information Specialist with the Southport-Oak Island Chamber of Commerce on March 10, 1993. She remained with the Chamber until just before her 85th birthday, officially retiring on July 17, 2017. Throughout her tenure, she contributed to and fondly recalled her involvement in events such as the US Open King Mackerel Tournament, the NC 4th of July Festival in Southport, after-hours events, and various activities organized by the Chamber. Bobbie took great pleasure in engaging with visitors and providing them with information about the local area.
She valued all of her friendships deeply; although sometimes initially shy in forming new connections, she maintained long lasting bonds once established.
As a strong matriarch, she took great pride in her entire family. Bobbie was preceded in death by husband Gene Frazier (1997), son Steven E. Frazier (2024), and brother Larry W. Fee (2016). She is survived by her sons Robert E. Frazier (Palina) and Todd E. Frazier (Sherri), along with her grandchildren Jeffrey E. Frazier (Kristina), Jennifer Lynn Frazier Cassata (Michael), Brent E. Frazier (Meagan), great-grandchildren Parker Frazier, Harrison Cassata, Lauren Frazier, Nolan Frazier, Sister-in-law Nadine Fee, and many members of both the Frazier and Fee families.
