SOUTHPORT — Betty Monroe Dosher, 93, of Southport passed away peacefully on May 3, 2025.
Born June 23, 1931 in St. Lucie, FL, she was a daughter of Barney and Freda Monroe. She moved to Southport from Florida when she was 17 in 1948, she married Hoyle Dosher in 1949 and they were married for 65 years before his passing in 2015.
She was a family oriented person and she was loved by many. She enjoyed fishing with her family. She was a proud volunteer at Dosher Memorial Hospital and flea market.
Betty is survived by her grandsons, Thomas Dosher, III and Benjamin Dosher; a sister, Shirley Sizemore; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her children, Linda Dosher, Thomas Dosher, Jr., and Michael Dosher.
Services will be announced in the future.
Memorial donations may be made, in Betty’s name, to Dosher Memorial Hospital Foundation.
