LELAND — Susan Boudreau Fletcher, a beloved wife, mother, daughter, and sister passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving husband and family on April 9, 2025, in Wilmington, North Carolina. Susan was a long-time resident of Dedham. MA, before moving to East Falmouth, MA. In 2018, she and her husband, Jack, relocated to Leland, NC.

Visitation will be held from 9:30 – 10:30 am on Thursday, April 24, 2025, at Andrews Mortuary at 1617 Market Street in Wilmington. Immediately following the service, a mass will be held at St. Mary’s Basilica at 412 Ann Street in Wilmington.

Susan was born on October 31, 1945, in Boston, MA. Susan’s vibrant presence and love of family left an undeniable mark on all who knew her. Susan’s love for her family was unparalleled, and she often expressed this through the time she spent with them, the care she provided, and the joy she found in life’s simple pleasures. Susan always had a love for the beach, from the shores of Cape Cod to the coastline of North Carolina. Additionally, Susan had a flair for design and loved the discovery of a great deal on a shopping trip. She passed down her love of cooking and gardening to her family and they will carry on those loves for generations to come. In her retirement, she could always be found with a fluffy Pomeranian on her lap; most recently her Lola.

Susan’s passing leaves a void in the hearts of those who knew her, but her spirit will continue to inspire and guide us. Her laughter, her love of life, and her ability to make everyone feel cherished will be sorely missed but never forgotten.

Susan is survived by John (Jack) of Leland, NC, who was her cherished and devoted husband for 46 years and her four children, Susu Blaisdell Lear and her husband Thomas; Bill Blaisdell and his wife Janine; Kim Blaisdell Sims and her wife Christine; and Kevin Blaisdell and his partner Karen McCloud. Susan’s also leaves behind her brother Paul Boudreau and his wife Terry of Mashpee, MA, and sister Mary Jane Boudreau of Falmouth, MA . Susan will be greatly missed by her ten grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, 1 niece, 1 nephew, and 2 great nephews and they will cherish every moment they spent surrounded by her energetic spirit and love for life.

She was preceded in death by her brother Peter Boudreau, her mother, Margaret Boudreau, and father, Joseph Boudreau.

As we say goodbye to Susan Boudreau Fletcher, we celebrate the life of a woman who was a beacon of strength and love. Her legacy is one of unwavering devotion to her family, a testament to the beautiful life she lived, and the countless lives she touched. Susan’s memory will be treasured forever, as we hold her close in our hearts and remember all that she brought into this world.
