WILMINGTON — Joyce Ann Hempel Robertson “Cookie” 81, died Sunday, April 6, 2025 at Novant Health New Hanover Regional Medical Center Wilmington, NC.
Cookie was born in Mineola, NY February 16, 1944, to the late Karl and Florence McCarthy Hempel.
Cookie loved to spend time crafting and selling her wreaths at The Crab Festival in Sneads Ferry. She retired as a Supervisor from Woodbine State School after 25 + years.
She is survived by her daughter Kelly Hewitt, and her husband Charles of Cape May, NJ. Her son Kary Robertson and his wife Kale if Sneads Ferry, NC. Her grandchildren Zachary Hewitt, Charles Hewitt, Kody Robertson, Brassai Mustin Robertson, and Tyler Hewitt. Great-grandchildren, Kairi Mustin, Liam Mustin, Ryan Hewitt, Caleb Hewitt, Eden Hewitt.
Cookie is reunited with her loved ones that passed before her, Husband Wayne Robertson, sons, Karl Robertson and Philip Laris, Jr., Sisters, Diane Shipper and Karleen Conine.
Funeral services will be private.
