WILMINGTON — Robert Cole Stickney, a beloved husband, stepfather, brother uncle and friend passed away peacefully at home on March 25, 2025 after a brave battle surrounded by his loving family.
Born on April 2nd 1952 in Bronxville, New York. Bob was a man known for his incredible devotion to his wife, his unwavering loyalty to family and friends, and his deep love for the sea.
A gifted inventor, he created remarkable projects that not only amazed those around him but also benefited his family in countless ways. Bob had a rare gift: he never met a stranger, always making everyone feel like an old friend. He was effortlessly comfortable in his own skin, and this comfort allowed him to accept and appreciate others for exactly who they were. But perhaps what Bob was best known for was his infectious sense of humor and his unbridled love of life, always finding joy and sharing that joy with everyone fortunate enough to know him.
A memorial service will be held at April 11 at 3pm at Saint Boniface Church Siesta Key Sarasota Fl.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Wilmington’s humane society, in honor of Rocky the rescue that stayed by Bob night and day.
