SOUTHPORT — Dennis Vincent Reese, age 73, of York, Pennsylvania passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, January 28, 2025. Born on January 12, 1953, he was a devoted husband to Donna and a loving father to Stephen and Tim and stepfather to Timothy and Debbora.
Dennis was born January 12, 1953 in York, Pennsylvania, son of the late Rodney and Virginia Reese. He was a graduate of Pennsylvania State University, where he earned a Masters Degree in Healthcare Administration. After forty years of service to the profession, he retired in 2018. To know him was to love him. His timeless sense of humor, quick wit an joyous spirit made him a friend to all who knew him.
He found his home in Southport, NC in 2014, where he quickly became a proud resident of its unique history and coastal charm, He could talk for hours about any subject, with his favorite’s being family, Ford mustangs, and American history. He had a heart for helping others, and had a weak spot for all animals. After retirement you could find him riding his bike through the streets of Southport, watching the boats sail through the coastal waterway and relaxing on the beach in Oak Island.
Survivors include his wife, Donna, two son’s, Stephen Reese, wife, Meredith, and Tim Reese, his step-son, Timothy McNeil, wife, Rhonda; step-grandson, Timothy Blake, step-daughter, Debbora Pittman, husband Jason and brother, Greg Reese, wife, Lori; niece Taylor Nash, husband Kevin; great-nephew, Emmett and great-niece, Finley.
A private family service will be held to honor Dennis’ life in Southport, NC.
