WILMINGTON — David Clayton Williamson, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, and brother passed away peacefully on January 31, 2025, in Wilmington, NC, at the age of 75. Born on November 7, 1949, in Michigan, David was a cherished member of his community and a devoted family man.
David spent his career as a Maintenance Manager at Wright Chemical Company in Acme, where he worked diligently until his retirement. In his personal life, he found great joy in spending time with his family, who meant the world to him.
He was a dedicated member of Union Grove Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church in Freeman, NC, where he nurtured his faith and formed lifelong friendships within the congregation.
David is preceded in death by his parents, Wilkie Clayton Williamson and Mildred Jeanette Woodby Williamson, and his daughter, Judi Lynn Williamson and sister Carolyn Jeanette Reynolds.
David is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Priscilla Wallace Williamson; his children, Gina Meggs and husband Chris, and Jason Williamson and wife Elizabeth; his treasured grandchildren, Whitney Meggs, Laney Meggs, Alex Meggs, Hannah Garrell, and Marybeth Williamson; and his adored great-grandchildren, River Lynn and Laken May; brothers, Roger Williamson and Bobby Williamson; and sisters Phyllis Wright and Darlene Mintz.
Pallbearers will be Freddy Cook, Del Sullivan, Kenny Wright, Matthew Peterson, Jacob Lanier, and Tommy Wallace. Honorary Pall Bearer will be Joel Robinson and Steve Reynolds.
David’s legacy of love, dedication, and kindness will live on through those who knew and loved him. He will be deeply missed.
