WILMINGTON — Heather M. Bankos, 36, of Wilmington, formerly of Lehigh County, PA, passed away on December 25, 2024. Heather was born on January 16, 1988 in Allentown, PA to Craig Schenkel and Mary Moser Schenkel.
Heather was a graduate of Cedar Crest College, Allentown, PA, with a BS in Nursing. She was also close to completing her Master’s in Nursing at DeSales University, Center Valley, PA. Heather worked most of her career as a NICU Nurse in several hospitals. She loved the beach, but most importantly, she loved her family. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Survivors include her husband, Brendon Michael Bankos; three children: Nathan, Matthew and Ellie; her mother, Mary Schenkel; her father, Craig Schenkel.
A Celebration of Heather’s Life will be held in Pennsylvania at a later date.
