William “Billy” Charles Fearon (Coastal Cremations and Funeral Care)

LELAND — Billy Fearon, 44, was born July 5, 1980, in Manhasset, NY and passed away Monday, December 16, 2024, in Wilmington, NC after a brief illness. He attended schools in Port Washington, NY and graduated Schreiber High School with the class of 1998.

He had wonderful friends while growing up in Port Washington, especially Rob and Tara, Kieran and Geoff. Billy loved his first bulldog Dixie and all of his Dodge Chargers. He moved to North Carolina in 2012 and loved being close to his mother’s family. His mother joined him back in her home town of Wilmington after her retirement. Billy started his own business, Graphic Material, designing and producing all types of beautiful and unique graphic designs and signs. He inherited his love of Japanese koi from his father, Jay Fearon, of Fearon Marine and Billy, by himself, built a beautiful Japanese-inspired koi pond. His collection of koi and several indoor aquariums were exceptional. Billy was known by his friends for his quick wit and sense of humor. He was dedicated to his family and his bulldogs Daisy, Bodhi and Coda.

Billy was predeceased in death by his father, Jay Fearon; uncle, Bill Fearon; and his loving grandparents, Marvin and Pauline Marshburn of Wilmington, NC.

Billy leaves behind his grieving brother, Tom Fearon and wife, Crystal; also his niece, Lilly and nephew, Thomas of Long Island. He will also be missed by his cousins, Greg and Chris Galusha and Alex and Christian Ronan; and his loving Aunt Lynn and Uncle Tom Ronan of Orlando.

His Aunt Margie and Uncle Dan Galusha of Leland, NC, are grief stricken. They were forever close to Billy and were his second parents. Billy also leaves behind his heartbroken and grieving Mom, Louise Fearon, who will have a difficult and lonesome life without him; and Bodhi, Billy’s beautiful Olde English bulldog is lost without him and still waits by the door for his return.
