WILMINGTON — Timothy Blain Stewart (Tim), 66, of Wilmington, NC, lost his battle with cancer and went to be with our Lord and Savior on Wednesday December 18, 2024, at 4:20 am at Novant Health New Hanover Regional Medical Center.
Tim was born in New Hanover County, Wilmington, N.C. on November 8th, 1958, the son of the late Winfred E. Stewart and Erma Willett.
Tim graduated from John T. Hoggard in 1977, and he went on to take mechanics courses at Cape Fear Community College and Graduated. He went to work at A& J Automotive, and from there he went to Coca-Cola company until injured on the job. He was working at Dillard’s Department Store part time. Tim loved to do leather work, woodwork, and reenacting. He loved spending time with his familly and Playing golf with his friends.
Tim is survived by his wife of 33 years, Barbara S. Stewart of Wilmington, NC. They were both Wilmington, NC natives. Also surviving is his daughter, Tiffany S. Jernigan and his favorite son-in-law, Dameon Jernigan, of Leland NC; his son, Phillip R. Stewart and wife, Carrie Stewart, of Leland NC; stepson, John W. Rouse III “J.R.” of Wilmington, NC, stepson, George A. Rouse “Tony” (deceased). Tim has nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren whom he loved so much.
Our family would like to thank everyone for their prayers, food, and visits, as well as our family at Dillard’s who loved Tim so much, especially Connie E. and Matthew S. I will be forever thankful he loved you all. Thanks to Gwen and Lynwood Nixon for the music, (Sister and Brother-in-law), Terry Stewart of Florida for the music (Tim’s brother), and Cathy V. Parker (Niece) for all your help with everything.
Tim will be so missed!
