WILMINGTON — James Carl Risley (Jim) Beloved Father, Grandfather, Great-Grandfather and friend to many passed away on Friday, December 20, 2024.
Jim was born on July 31, 1952 to the late Carl and Lela Risley. After a long career at General Electric, he enjoyed traveling and spending time at UNCW Baseball games; as well as gambling and spending time with his family and special friends, Frank and Tony.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents and his wife of 35 years, Mildred; who was the love of his life, and beloved daughter Karen Basinger.
He is survived by his son, Rodney Foust, daughters: Sandy Jarrett (Ronnie) Susan Croom, Gwyn Gray, seven wonderful grandchildren: Wesley, Shelley, Nickole, Jordan, Magen, Hunter and Travis, Eleven Beautiful Great Grandchildren; and Special Brother Chris Risley of Santa Cruz, CA and three wonderful nephews.
