WILMINGTON — Barbara Ann Montgomery, age 98, of the Davis Community, died Thursday, December 5, 2024.
She was born in Wilmington, NC, February 26, 1926. The daughter of the late William Cameron Montgomery and Mary Sikes Montgomery. She was preceded in death by brothers, Cameron and Edward Montgomery and sisters, Charlotte Leo Wallace and Jean Rivenbark Rooks.
Miss Montgomery was a faithful member of St. Andrews Covenant Presbyterian Church. She was employed by the railroad in Wilmington, NC and Jacksonville, FL for 42 years.
She is survived by two nieces, Rebecca Jordan and husband Graham and Mary Kirkley and husband Jerry; three nephews, Bill Rivenbark and wife Tina, Charles Rivenbark, William Montgomery and wife Diane and numerous great-nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 2pm, Wednesday, December 11, 2024, at Andrews Market Street Chapel with Rev. Katherine Harrington officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service, beginning at 1:00pm.
Interment will follow in Oakdale Cemetery.
