WILMINGTON — Richard affectionately known as “Aberdeen” went to be with the Lord October 13, 2024 at Novant New Hanover Hospital.
He was born December 28, 1951. He was preceded in death by his parents Hugh and Beryl, son Jason P. Bennett, brother Gary Bennett.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years Terry Bennett, son Ricky Bennett, two brothers William and Roger Bennett, sister Kathy and many nieces and nephews.
Richard was an electrician by trade and loved anything that lit up. He loved to play pool with his friends and watch boxing and racing and loved his family. He will be truly missed.
