WILMINGTON — It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Particia Turner Redwine Strickland, who left this world on October 12, 2024 at the age of 82.
Patricia was born on November 28, 1941, to the late Wayne A. Turner and Annie Bradshaw Turner, who instilled in her the values of love, kindness, and faith that would guide her throughout her life.
Patricia was predeceased by her beloved son, Jeffery Cavenaugh, as well as by her husbands: Gene Strickland, Oscar Redwine and Gene Cavenaugh. She is also reunited with her parents and her brothers: Wayne, Errol, and Joseph Turner, sisters-in-law: Pat and Judy, all of whom held a special place in her heart.
Despite these profound losses, Patricia’s legacy lives on through the love of her sister, Taffy Turner Rivenbark, her two “special Allisons,” and her many nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.
Patricia was a cherished member of community, known for her unwavering commitment to her family and friends, as well as her steadfast devotion to her faith. For many years, she attended United Advent Christian Church, where her profound faith in God was not only a source of strength but an inspiration to all who knew her. Those who had the privilege of witnessing her deep relationship with God will remember her as a guiding light, radiating love and compassion to everyone she encountered.
