WILMINGTON — Andy Wayne Hale, born on August 23, 1951, in Wilmington, North Carolina, passed away peacefully in his hometown on September 24, 2024, at the age of 73.
Andy retired from DuPont Cape Fear Plant after 36 years of dedicated service. He was a faithful member of Gibson Avenue Baptist Church, where he found solace and community.
He is preceded in death by his beloved parents, Gilbert Hale, Sr. and Florine Harris Hale, as well as his brother, Gilbert Hale, Jr.
Andy’s memory will be cherished by his surviving family: his devoted wife of 54 years Rebecca Dianne Hale; his three loving daughters, Angela Tuttle and husband Chad, Pamela Taylor and husband Percy, and Cindy Pastoral and husband Mike. He leaves behind five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren who will miss their grandfather dearly. Andy is also survived by his brother, Tommy Hale, along with extended family and many friends who were touched by his kindness.
Andy will be remembered for his steadfast faith, love for his family, and the legacy of devotion he leaves behind. May he rest in eternal peace.
