WILMINGTON — Linda Pearl Dalessio, age 80, passed away peacefully on September 22, 2024. Born on October 23, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Edward Henry and Mae Doris (Overholser) Schearer. Linda grew up in Reading, Pennsylvania, where she lived most of her life before moving to North Carolina in the late 1970s.
Linda was a devoted mother who cherished her three children: Stacy L. Woeppel, Sonya L. Chann, and Earl W. Hassel. Her children were her greatest joy, and she always longed to have them close, despite the challenges of living in three different states. She also cherished her stepchildren, Maria Dodge, Joseph Dalessio, and John Dalessio, and her beloved grandchildren: Christopher Hagadorn , Sage Woeppel, Taylor Chann, Tyler Chann and Noah Woeppel.
In her later years, Linda spent time at Glenmaura Assisted Living before moving back to North Carolina with her youngest daughter, Sonya. She was predeceased by her husband, John Dalessio, and her brother, Barry Schearer.
Linda will be remembered for her warmth, kindness, and unwavering love for her family.
