WILMINGTON — It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Hector L. Soto Jr., USMC (Ret.), devoted husband, loving father, cherished son, loyal brother, beloved uncle and retired Marine. He served his country with honor and dedication, embodying the true spirit of a Marine. Hector was predeceased by his father, Hector L. Soto Sr.
Hector is survived by his beloved wife, Erica, their three sons: Caiden, Landon, and Tristan, his mom Josefina Soto, his sisters Jasmine, Erica and Daphne as well as countless friends and family whose lives he touched.
A true Marine to the core, Hector’s unwavering dedication to duty was matched only by his devotion to his family. He will be remembered for his passion, kindness, and the deep love he had for those around him.
Throughout his distinguished career, Hector exemplified the Corps’ values of Honor, Courage, and Commitment. His leadership and camaraderie left an indelible mark on all who served alongside him.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests donations be made to TBA in Hector L. Soto Jr’s memory.
Semper Fidelis, Hector Soto. Your watch is over, but your legacy of love and honor will live on in the hearts of his family and friends forever.
