WILMINGTON — Donald Scott Andrews passed from this life into eternal rest early Sunday morning, September 1, 2024, in Wilmington, North Carolina.
Donald Scott Andrews was born in Belton, Texas on October 9th 1970 to Wiley J. Andrews, Jr. and Shirley Ann Corbin of Little River, Texas.
He proudly served in the United States Marine Corps during Operation Desert Shield/Storms, Operation Ceasefire, as well as in Operation Honduras. He earned the National Defense Service Medal, as well as the Kuwait Liberation Medal Navy Unit Commendation.
After having served his country, he worked in the trucking industry, as well in the oil and natural gas industry.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife Jenny Andrews and his stepson Alex Neal, and his brother-in-law Oscar Horace Williams of Wilmington, North Carolina. Also left to cherish his memory are his Aunt Linda Jane Lipuma and her husband Jim Lipuma of Copperas Cove, Texas, his cousins Donna Joann Corbin, James Edward Corbin of Belton, Texas, Janice Lee Montgomery of Fort Worth, Texas, Terri Lyn Cousins and Lillie Susanne Langford of Belton, Texas, and his best friend since tenth grade, John Browning of Ravenna, Texas. He is also survived by three brothers, Tim, Chris, and David, as well as several nephews.
The family will receive friends from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. Monday, September 9, 2024, at Andrews Mortuary Valley Chapel, 4108 South College Road, Wilmington, NC 28412.
A Graveside Funeral Service will be at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, September 10, 2024, at Coastal Carolina State Veterans Cemetery, 110 Montford Point Road, Jacksonville, North Carolina 28540.
