WILMINGTON — Deaconess Shirley M. Jones, age 74, of Wilmington, passed away on Thursday, August 29, 2024.
A celebration of Deaconess Jones’ life will be conducted at noon on Saturday, September 7, 2024 at Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church, 4925 New Centre Dr., Wilmington, NC 28401. A viewing will be held one (1) hour prior to the service.
Interment will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, September 9, 2024 at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
Her love and memories will remain in the heart of her daughter, Veronica L. Cade of Wilmington; stepchildren, George C. Jones, Jr. of Wilmington, Cynthia Jones of Jacksonville and Zerick Jones of Winston-Salem; sister, Linda Jane Nixon of Evergreen, three grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
