WILMINGTON — Sean Andrew Davis, husband, father, son, brother, and hero went home to be with the Lord on August 17, 2024. He was born on January 5, 1983 in Spokane, Washington to Neal and Penny Davis.
Sean grew up mostly in Spokane County, aside from spending 7 years of his childhood in San Diego from ages 4 to 11. Sean loved the outdoors. Some of his favorite activities were dirt biking, mountain biking, snow boarding, camping, swimming, and frisbee golf. Given the choice, however, Sean would rather spend time with his wife and 5 kids. They were his world, and he was immensely proud of each and every one of them. In his words, “I give a VERY big damn about them.” Sean was intentional about caring for his family, cooking new recipes to feed large crowds, finding friends he hadn’t met yet, and serving anywhere he could. Sean also loved learning new things, theology to technology, and anything in between. He frequently told his kids, “Always keep your learner turned on.” Sean was forever thankful for his children and their mothers.
Sean moved to Wilmington in 2016. As he was recovering from a traumatic car accident in 2019, Sean met, and, subsequently married Roseanna, the love of his life. Together, Sean and Roseanna demonstrated God’s love to each other and to their families. Sean worked tirelessly to make sure his family knew they belonged and were loved. His passing will leave a large void that only God can fill.
Even more than Sean loved his family, Sean loved God. You couldn’t talk to Sean for 5 minutes without knowing how much he loved Jesus.
In addition to his parents, Sean is survived by his wife, Roseanna Davis; daughters: Chloé Cash and Vivienne Davis; sons: Jaydin Cash, Clyde Davis and Christian Davis; brothers: Luke Davis (wife, Lindsay Davis) and Brad Davis (wife, Roxane Davis), as well as numerous close friends and family. As Sean said, “not all blood is family, and not all family is blood.”
A Memorial Service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, August 24, 2024 at Multiply Church in Wilmington, NC with a reception to follow.
