LELAND — Grace Morschauser, 97, of Leland, formerly of Yonkers, New York, and Fairless Hills, Pennsylvania, passed away on Saturday, August 10, 2024, at home surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on August 20, 1926, in Yonkers, New York, to the late Vito and Margaret (Tucci) Baldassare.

Grace moved to North Carolina in 2015 and was a current member of St. Therese Catholic Church of Wrightsville Beach, North Carolina. She was a former member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Yonkers, New York and St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church, Fairless Hills, Pennsylvania. Grace was very involved in the school Parent Teacher Associations, Pennsbury (PA) Band Boosters and the Fairless Hills Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. She was a very avid reader and jigsaw puzzle solver.

Grace is survived by her sons, Richard Morschauser and wife, Helen, Robert Morschauser and wife, Marlene, Ronald Morschauser and wife, Marla; her daughters, Robin Sena and husband, Charles, Regina Kristan and husband, John; her sister, Jean Jarusinsky and husband, George; her brother-in-law, George L. Clarke, Jr.; her grandchildren, Karen Clark and husband, David, Christine Birdsall and husband, Eric, Andrew Kristan and wife, Melissa, Michael Morschauser and wife, Alyssa, Daniel Kristan and wife, Kristian, Matthew Kristan, Paige Morschauser Orton and husband, Justin, Conner Morschauser and fiance, Virginia, Grace Morschauser, Benjamin Morschauser; her great grandchildren, Catherine, Samantha, Jacob, Lily, Cooper, Alexa, Emma, Alison, Brett, Asher, Noelle; and many nieces, nephews and other family members.

In addition to her parents, Grace was also preceded in death by her husband, Alfred V. Morschauser; her brothers, Joseph Baldassare, Erasmus Baldassare; and her sister, Eleanor Clarke.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Raleigh or EWTN Global Catholic Television Network.

Grace’s funeral mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Saturday, August 17, 2024, at St. Therese Catholic Church in Wrightsville Beach with Father William Upah officiating. A graveside service and interment will take place at 11 a.m. on Thursday, August 22, 2024, at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Yonkers, New York.
