WILMINGTON — Robert Gene McQuery, age 94, of Wilmington, North Carolina passed away on Wednesday, July 17, 2024.
He was born in Sigma, VA on June 21, 1929 to Clarence and Maggie McQuery.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Don McQuery and sisters: Faye Shelton and Sandy Smith.
Robert is survived by his wife Doris McQuery; sons Michael McQuery and wife Barbara of Carolina Beach, NC daughters: Jean Ellis and husband Greg of Pickens, SC and Debbie McQuery and husband Harold Croom of Wilmington, NC; grandchildren: Darcey Tinga and husband Will Jewett of Raleigh, NC; sister Patti Dean; brothers: Buddy McQuery, Dean McQuery and Jimmy McQuery.
A Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Tuesday, July 23, 2024 at Masonboro Baptist Church, 1501 Beasley Road, Wilmington, NC 28409.
The Funeral Service will follow with Rev. Wes Hunter and Rev. Gordon Wright officiating. Interment will be in Oleander Memorial Gardens, 306 Bradley Drive, Wilmington, NC 28409 with Military Honors.
