Ryan was the owner/operator of R&S Construction completing projects all over the Cape Fear Region. His work could be seen at the newly remodeled Pilot House and Elijah’s, IHOP and Godwin Lumber are also some of his personal achievements.
He is best known for his love of being a father and willingness to help anyone in need. He could frequently be seen out on the River, camping or smoking meats on the cooker.
Ryan never met a soul he would not help in any way he was able to. Simply put, Ryan had a heart of gold.

Ryan is also survived by his parents Matthew Thompson and Amy Horrell, along with sister Nikki Thompson and fiancée Justin Horn. Extended family, friends and co-workers are also among those mourning.
