BURGAW — Kathe Ingeborg Newell, 79, of Burgaw, passed away peacefully at home with family by her side on May 7, 2024.
She was born on July 25, 1944 in Germany, one of three children born to Walter Scheinert and Kathe Straubing Scheinert.
Kathe is survived by her loving husband, Ronald Eugene Newell; daughter, Stacy Willetts; son, Walter Price (Julia), six grandchildren; Ashlynn Price, Thomas Willetts, Meghan Padgett (Nick), Morgan Price, Caleb Price, Sydni Price (Jonah); and eight great-grandchildren.
For the last thirty five years Kathe had two passions, caring for her family and traveling. She was married to her best friend and the love of her life, Ron. Holidays were mandatory in the Newell home. She believed Christmas Eve was all about family and friends and you better not miss it. Kathe doted on Ron, her kids and grandkids. Kathe was a good listener and there was nothing you couldn’t talk to her about. Kathe was an outstanding wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Her passing leaves an empty place in our family circle and in our hearts.
Private family burial will be at a later date.
