WILMINGTON — Michael Lyn Moore, known affectionately as Michael, passed away peacefully on Tuesday April 30, 2024, in Wilmington, NC, at the age of 66.
Born on June 4, 1957, in Pender County, Michael lived a colorful life filled with passion for his work in the Antique Business. He was a well-known dealer in the Castle Street Antique district, where his expertise and love for antiques shone through.
Michael will be remembered for his wit, charm, and dedication to his craft. His presence in the antique world will be deeply missed by all who knew him. He leaves behind a legacy of hard work and admiration from those in the industry.
Michael is reunited in the afterlife with his parents John Adron Moore and Mary Etta Caison Moore, daughter Tara Renee Moore, brother Nelson L. Moore, and his partner Glenn Jenkins.
He is survived by his sister Rosalie M. Riley, Lynetta Kay Moore, brother John Moore and partner Garland Whaley, nephew Gary Riley, Jordan Padilla, Ryan Fennell, Pete Riley, niece Suzzanna Fennell, and Cierra Parker.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorials be directed to St. Jude’s MCC at 19 N. 26th Street, Wilmington, NC 28405.
Michael’s memory will continue to live on in the hearts of his loved ones and the antique community he was so cherished in. Rest in peace, dear Michael.
