WILMINGTON — Nancy Kline Buckman, a very loving, caring, kind wife, mother, and friend, passed away peacefully on March 17, 2024, in Wilmington, NC, at the age of 86. Born on December 17, 1937, in Wilmington, DE, Nancy’s journey on this earth was marked by unwavering kindness, dedication, and grace.
Throughout her life, Nancy touched the hearts of many through her work and passions. She dedicated herself to nurturing young minds as she taught nursery school and kindergarten, spreading seeds of knowledge and compassion. As a Parish Visitor with the United Methodist Church, Nancy extended warmth and comfort to her community, embodying the true spirit of service.
Passionate about fostering connections and welcoming newcomers, Nancy started and ran the Welcome Wagon for many years in Cary, NC, also servicing the surrounding areas, where she tirelessly networked with local businesses and shared valuable information with new residents, creating a sense of belonging for all who crossed her path.
In her free time, Nancy found joy in people and social interactions, radiating positivity wherever she went. Her deep involvement in her church and commitment to the Turtle Watch program in Topsail Beach showcased her love for both spiritual growth and environmental stewardship. And, in moments of leisure, she enjoyed playing tennis.
Nancy will be dearly missed by her beloved husband Robert Buckman, cherished children Christopher, Michael Stephen, and Lisa Ann, as well as numerous other family members and friends whose lives she enriched with her presence.
