WILMINGTON — John C. Lovett was born October 19, 1937, in Leon, Iowa and left this earth November 10, 2023.
His parents were Arnold and Grace Lovett.
John is survived by his loving wife Carol, sister Marilyn Sponsler, 4 sons – Tim Lovett (Deanna), Tom Lovett (Beth), Bryan Keller (Sabina), Mark Keller (Belinda) as well as 8 Grandchildren, and sister-in-law Joyce Stewart (Gary).
He received his BS in Geology at Iowa State and then his juris doctor degree from the University of Iowa. John joined the legal division of Cities Service Oil Company in 1965 which led him to become General Council for Occidental Petroleum.
His love for life was with his Lord Jesus, His loving wife and family. He enjoyed singing, dancing and a relaxing round of golf. His gift of laughter, wisdom and caring for others will be missed.
A visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to noon, Friday, November 24, 2023 at Andrews Mortuary Valley Chapel.
