James A. Justice, 75

James A. Justice (Wilmington Funeral & Cremation)

LELAND — James Arthur Justice of Leland, NC went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on October 7, 2023, after a lengthy illness.

He was born on January 7, 1948, the son of the late James Clifton Justice and Beulah Spivey Justice.

He worked Multi-Craft with the Mundy Companies until retiring after becoming disabled in 2007.

He loved picking up weed eaters and mowers at yard sales for a few dollars, clean them up to good working condition, and then give them to those who needed them. He loved to go fishing, and working on cars and building boats were another joy.

He loved his Heavenly Father, whom he talked with and walked with daily. You could often hear him saying, “Thank you Jesus, Thank you Jesus.”

Until his health declined, he was a faithful member of the God’s House of Praise, and dearly loved Pastor William “Earl” Hewett and his wife Bonnie.

His greatest joy here on earth was his family. After each visit, he would talk about them long after they went home. He was so proud of each and every one.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife Evelyn, his best friend for 57 years. He would always write her little love notes and put them in her lunch each day. On the back of those, he would also write a note to God. Evelyn saved every one of them. He also leaves behind his daughter Angela Foster (he called her AngiGlow) and her husband Ervin. She will always be Daddy’s girl. His is also survived by his son James Arthur Justice, Jr., and his wife Sherry. As father and son, they were best friends, and learned a lot from each other. He also leaves his loving sister, Faye Paquin of Linwood, NC; eight grandchildren whom he adored: Adam, Christy, Brandon, Alex, Kanein, Jordan, Scott and Amanda; five precious great-grandchildren Micah, Kenley, Maeve, Brooklyn, and Tristin; and several nieces and nephews. Special thanks to friends Bobby and Melody Champion and their family for devotion, prayers and assistance.

A Memorial Service will be held at 3 p.m. on Thursday, October 12, at God’s House of Praise, 147 Old Lanvale Road NE, Leland, where friends may visit with the family from 2 p.m. until time of services.

In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital would be appreciated. He loved those children and would always say they were beautiful when he saw them on TV.
