LELAND — Helen R. Pischner, 86, of Leland NC, formally The Villages, FL, passed away on December 2, 2022. Helen was married to Norman M. Pischner for 58 years before his passing in March 2016. Helen was a devoted wife and mother to her family. Her professional career consisted of her being a nurse for twenty plus years.
Helen is survived by her children; Michael Pischner of Miami, Florida, Steven Pischner of Fredericksburg, Virginia, Brenda Bugbee of Tampa, Florida, and Debra Baccante of Wilmington, North Carolina. 14 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
Helen was known for the giving of her time with Shoebox, sewing stocking for US soldiers. She had a passion for sewing, cruising, travel and loved to read.
Donations can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Burial will be held during a private ceremony at a later date at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell Florida with military honors.
