Christopher Tyler Chamer, 52

WILMINGTON — Christopher Tyler (Chris) Chamer passed away on November 26th, 2022, after a ten-year battle with cancer. Born in Fairfax, VA to Cindy and Ronald Chamer on May 22nd, 1970, Chris attended Woodson High School in Fairfax County, VA. He loved all kinds of sports but excelled in waterskiing. His love of the water took him to the NC Outer Banks where he met Therese Wyke, the love of his life. They made their home in Wilmington, NC. Where fishing became his passion.

Chris worked as an outside sales representative for lumber and building products with Parksite, Diamond Hill, and Cedar Creek. Chris also owned Yellow Dog Handyman Service. Chris’ can-do attitude and love of life will sorely be missed.

He is survived by his wife Therese; mother Cindy Chamer; brother Brian Chamer, niece & nephew Haley & Kevin Chamer; uncles and aunts: Mike & Vicki Hart, Andy & JoAnne Hart; cousins: Jason, Randy, Corey, Joe, and Jamie; Therese’s parents Ernest & Nancy Wyke of Hayesville, NC.; many loyal and dedicated friends; and Sadie and Titus, their two Labrador Retrievers. Chris is predeceased by his father Ronald Chamer and his grandparents, Jane & Warren Hart and George & Agnes Chamer. May his love of life be reflected in all who knew him.
