ROCKY POINT — Wanda Jean Sneeden Bolton, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 26, 2022, at the age of 71. She was born February 18, 1951, in New Hanover County to Kenneth and Lillian Sneeden.
Wanda was preceded in death by her father Kenneth Sneeden, husband, Benny Bolton and brother Tim Sneeden.
Wanda is survived by her mother, Lillian V. Sneeden: children, Woody Bolton and Ginny Bolton (Dale Ritz); grandchildren, Zoe Collett and Damian Tuttle; brother, Kenneth Sneeden Jr. (Sara); sister, Cindy McNally (Stephen): and nieces and nephews, Emily Brooks (Jonathon), Michael Sneeden (Rachel), Victoria Smith (Ricky) and Jeremy McNally.
Wanda worked for Springer Eubanks Oil Company for many years and was a graduate of Hoggard High School. She had many friends throughout her entire life and her grandfather Steve Sneeden had her on a horse before she could walk and even had to build a special saddle for her. Wanda passed her love of horses down to her daughter. She was a true example of what it meant to be a Wife, Mother, Grandmother, and Friend. Her presence in our lives will be forever missed but we find solace in knowing she is at peace and rejoicing with her Almighty Father. Wanda is a member of Silver Lake Baptist Church in Wilmington, NC.
The family will receive friends 11 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Friday, July 29, 2022, at Silver Lake Baptist Church with funeral services starting at 12:00 p.m. with Pastor Steve Gasque officiating. A graveside committal service will be at Riley’s Creek Memorial Cemetery at 1:30 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Wanda’s memory to Lower Cape Fear LifeCare. https://lifecare.org/donate/
