WILMINGTON — Jack Donald Loflin (Pappy), loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. Born March 4, 1928 in Salisbury, NC, is survived by his loving wife, Marie S. Loflin.
Surviving family members are children; Beth Jarrott and husband Tom, Donna Lawhorn and husband William, Steve Loflin and wife Sheila. Grandchildren; Tish Jarrott, Thomas Jarrott, Tiffany Smith and husband Dean, Holly Satorre and husband Chris, Melissa Lawhorn and Melondy Loflin. Great grandchildren; Carlie Jarrott, Marisa Jarrott and Logan Satorre. His sister, Clare Swicegood and many more loving nieces and nephews.
Jack served in the US Army where he was stationed in Germany following WWII. Jack retired from Corning Glass Works in 1993.
A celebration of life service will be held Saturday, November 13th at St. Mathews Lutheran Church, 612 College Road. Across from UNCW. Visitation will be held from 2:00 pm to 2:30 pm followed by the memorial service at 2:30 pm. Graveside service will be held Tuesday Nov. 16th at 11:00 am, at Oleander Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers are Thomas Jarrott, Craig Gaskins, Edward Gaskins, Chris Satorre, Dean Smith and Derick Willis.
