WILMINGTON — Carmen Timms McLain 89, of Wilmington, passed away peacefully on October 4, 2021, at Lower Cape Fear LifeCare. She was predeceased by her husband Bobby McLain in December of 2019, and lived the past two years with her daughter and friend Katherine McLain, where she enjoyed sitting outdoors, coloring and drawing, and the many friends and caretakers who joined them.
Special thanks to Cape Fear LifeCare and her Caretaker and friend Cathy Saffo, and the many others who assisted in her care.
Carmen was born August 9, 1932 in Winder, Georgia to James Harrison Timms and Tamar Timms. She is survived by her brother Jimmy Timms of Austin, Texas; her son Ricky (Lisa) McLain; her daughter Katherine McLain, Granddaughters Tracy (Stephanie) McLain Crews, and Crystal McLain; and 5 great grandchildren Aailyah McLain, Riley Marley, Logan McLain, Kyndal McLain, Avery Crews.
Carmen will be greatly missed by her friends and family.
