WILMINGTON — Shirley Mae Robbins Chadwick, 84, passed away Tuesday, March 16, 2021, at New Hanover Regional Medical Center surrounded by her family.
She was born Aug. 2, 1936, in Wilmington, the daughter of William and Addie Merritt Robbins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Thomas Davis Chadwick Sr.; and son, Thomas Davis Chadwick Jr.
She is survived by her sons, Donald Chadwick, Mark Chadwick (Maureen), Scott Chadwick, Timothy Chadwick (Terri) and Christopher Chadwick (Madalin); grandchildren, Mark, Amber, Casey, Nick, Hunte and Ryan; numerous great-grandchildren; and brother, Hubert Robbins.
Shirley was a loving mother to her six sons and a true matriarch of the Chadwick family. She was always devoted to her family and was known to “rule the roost.” She will forever be missed by many.
