NORTHWEST — Janie K. Smith, 93, passed away Sunday, Feb. 28, 2021.
Her love and memories will remain in the hearts of her children, Patricia F. Brown of Washington, D.C., Debra Knox ( the Rev. James Knox) of Northwest and Dr. Claudette Smith of Greensboro; sister-in-law, Annie L. Brown of Northwest; daughter-in-law, Brenda Smith of Northwest; six grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Public viewing will be held from 4 to 6 p.m., Friday, March 5, at Davis Funeral Home, 901 S. 5th Ave., Wilmington, NC 28401. The viewing will be walk-through only with no lingering or gathering. A celebration of Ms. Smith’s life will be conducted at 10 a.m., Saturday, March 6, at the funeral home.
