LEXINGTON — Garry Franklin “Bunk” Kearns, 84, formerly of Southport, went to be with the Lord Monday, Oct. 12, 2020.
He was born Oct. 24, 1935, in Lexington to the late Ernest and Mary Kearns. He was also preceded in death by his son, Radford Kearns; brothers, Larry and Barry Kearns; and sister, Martha Wilson.
Garry enjoyed watching westerns on T.V. and talking to his family and friends.
He is survived by daughters, Sherry (Eddie) Bailey and Belinda Kearns; grandchildren, Brian Humphrey, Racheal (Josh) Atkins, Rose (Isaac) Barber, Nathan Smith and Cody Moorefield; 16 great-grandchildren; brothers, Dean Kearns, Terry Kearns, Joe (Sandy) Kearns and Joel Kearns.
Visitation will be held from noon to 1 p.m., Friday, Oct. 16, at Coble Funeral and Cremation Service at Greenlawn Memorial Park, 1155 Shipyard Blvd., Wilmington. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Friday, Oct. 16, with Pastor Billy Batten officiating. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Lung Association or the American Heart Association.
