Betty Jane Rogers Griffith, 88, deeply devoted to her family and friends

CAROLINA SHORES — Betty Jane Rogers Griffith, 88, died peacefully Sunday, July 5, 2020.

Born April 16, 1932, in Lizemores, West Virginia, she was a daughter of the late Orville Albert Rogers and Maggie Mae Legg Jarrett. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, the Rev. Dr. Albert Roger Griffith Sr.; and siblings, Lorena Carr and Drema Holstine.

She is survived by her sister, Charlene Anne Summers of Charleston West Virginia; brother, George Edward Jarrett of Charleston, West Virginia; children, Jane Anderson of Wilmington, Anita Fiel, and her husband, Melvin, of Harrison City, Pennsylvania, Albert Roger Griffith, and his husband, Tomoya Minowa, of New York, New York, and John F. Griffith-Reimann, and his husband, Peter, of Auburn, Alabama; grandchildren, Christopher Anderson, and his wife, Holly, Sarah Anderson, Melvin Fiel III and Haley Fiel; two sweet great-granddaughters, Lydia and Cora Anderson; and many nieces and nephews.

Betty was deeply devoted to her family and friends and adored by all.  

The family will hold a private service.
