LELAND — Donald Keith “Don” Irvin, 77, died Thursday, Oct. 17, 2019, at his home. Don was born Sept. 22, 1942, in Wayne County, Ohio, son of the late Donald and Mary Fishburn Irvin.
He was a devoted husband and an amazing father and grandfather. His passions included golfing, jazz, travel, bowling and eating his wife’s delicious cooking. He was very involved in his church, St. James the Fisherman Episcopal Church.
He is survived by his loving wife, Luvette Hickey of Leland; children, Laura Beaudoin, and her husband, Brandon, of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, Robert Irvin, and his wife, Anne-Marie, of Charlotte, David Hickey, and his wife, Michelle, of San Marino, California, Deborah Foley, and her husband, Kevin, of Hampton Bays, New York, Derrick Hickey, and his wife, Catherine, of Wilmington, and Danielle Walker of Pasadena, California; and 10 grandchildren, Owen, Conner, Lauren, Ian, Collin, Dylan, Cooper, Jordan, Sloane and Graham.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m., Friday, Oct. 25, at St. James the Fisherman Church, Shallotte.
