
SUNSET BEACH — Dr. Michael David McCullough, 63, died Saturday, April 13, 2019.
He was born March 16, 1956, a son of Marilyn M. McCullough and the late Dr. Gerald W. McCullough. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a son, Garrett William McCullough.
He was a member of the Radiological Society of North America, the Board of Medical Examiners of the State of North Carolina, the American Board of Radiology and proud member of the Beta Theta Pi Fraternity. He was also an avid Oklahoma Sooner fan.
Surviving in addition to his mother are his wife, A.J. McCullough; son, Mason McCullough of Columbia, South Carolina; daughters, Mackenzie McCullough Betchan (Colin) of Burlington and Monroe McCullough of Austin, Texas; sisters, Debbie Luthey (Dean) of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Tanya McCullough of Dallas, Texas, Ann McCullough of Dallas, Texas, and Kristi McCullough of Richmond, Virginia; nieces, Sarah Shepherd (Scott), and their children, Libby and Charlie Shepherd; Katie Shepherd (Greg), and their children, Caroline and Emily Shepherd; niece, Madison tenKate; and nephew, Jake tenKate.
Pallbearers are Jeff Niemeyer, Julian Springs, David Smith, Anthony Carr, Al Parker, Fred Lewis, Calvin Chandler, Glenn Humbert, Joey Galloway, Poli Barefoot, Larry Harrelson, John Black, Chris Smith, John Truesdale, Bobby Williamson, Morris Hale and Orren Reedy.
A celebration of life will be conducted at 3 p.m., Saturday, April 20, at Camp United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
