ROCKY POINT — William Kenneth “Ken” Willetts, 54, beloved son, dad, brother, fiancé and loyal friend, left this earth way too soon, leaving a big hole in our hearts. Ken was born June 27, 1964, in Wilmington and passed away peacefully Sunday, April 7, 2019, at his home.
Remembered is his father, William Sidburry Willetts, who preceded Ken in death.
Left to cherish his memory are his mother, Jearleen Horrell Willetts; son, Damon Willetts; sisters, Cathy Lipe, Sharon Willetts Alford (George) and Linda Willetts Swinson; love of his life and soulmate, Lynn Cowan; and numerous extended family and friends — too many to name.
By career, Ken was a dedicated paramedic, having worked with New Hanover County EMS, Pender County EMS and Fire and currently employed with New Hanover Regional Medical Center EMS. He loved his work and was a true medical professional. Ken was a faithful member of Rocky Point Free Will Holiness Church.
Not only was Ken blessed with a love of music, but also a God-given talent, as he enjoyed playing the harmonica and drums as well as singing gospel music. Ken was a loving dad, and he loved all of his family beyond compare. His presence on this earth will be greatly missed. Ken was a much loved “BoBo.”
