WILMINGTON — Roy Alfred Isaksen, 88, passed away Monday, April 1, 2019, at WakeMed Hospital, Raleigh. He was born Nov. 8, 1930, in Brooklyn, New York.
He leaves behind his wife of 54 years, Marion, and is also survived by three sons, John Isaksen of Wilmington, Scott Isaksen of Stuarts Draft, Virginia, and Douglas Isaksen of Clearwater, Florida; one daughter, Linda Good of Luray, Virginia; and nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Roy was a Korean War veteran who served in the U.S. Air Force from 1950 to 1954. He was a member of St. Mark Catholic Church and a life member of the Knights of Columbus.
A memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m., Wednesday, April 10, at St. Mark Catholic Church, 1011 Eastwood Road, Wilmington. It will be preceded by the Chaplet of Divine Mercy at 10:45 a.m.
