WRIGHTSVILLE BEACH — Nicky Lynn Pipkin, 62, died Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2018. He was born Dec. 17, 1956, in Dunn to the late Osbert and Betty Pipkin.
Nicky was the middle of three children and the first of his family to graduate from college. He attended the University Of North Carolina Chapel Hill. After graduation, Nicky went on to complete Medical School at East Carolina University in Greenville and then became a cardiothoracic surgeon.
Nicky is survived by his wife, Nancy Jo Price Pipkin; two daughters, Mallory, and her husband, Tommy, and Madison; three grandchildren, Maisy, Cutler and Bradynn; two sisters, Lanita Pipkin, LaRhonda Batson and their families.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 22, at Coble Ward-Smith Funeral & Cremation Service. Interment will immediately follow in Oleander Memorial Gardens.
