ASH — Carroll Vivian Long, 80, passed away Saturday, Oct. 6, 2018.
Born Sept. 7, 1938, in Brunswick County, he was the son of the late Carl V. Long and Vernon Ward Long. He was a retired civil service employee at Sunny Point Military Ocean Terminal and crafted handmade knives as a hobby.
Surviving are his wife, Wilda Hickman Long; son, Kimbo Long (Norma Jean) of Ash; and grandson, Cody Long (Kelley Nash) of Calabash.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, Oct. 10, at Andrews Chapel United Methodist Church, Calabash, officiated by the Rev. John Bracey. Interment will follow in Manley Bennett Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
