WILMINGTON — Helen Watkins Wallace, 91, died Monday, Oct. 1, 2018. She was born Oct. 11, 1926, in Pender County to Ezekiel and Lina Watkins.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, LeRoy Wallace; beloved sister, Frances; daughter, Lina Blake; son, Roy Lee Wallace; and grandson, William Patrick Blake.
Helen is survived by her daughters, Darlene Lassiter, Marlene Hoch and Sherri Wallace; 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; niece and best friend, Barbara Barron; four cherished nephews; as well as many more beloved family members.
A visitation will be held from 12:30 to 2 p.m., Friday, Oct. 5, at Coble Ward-Smith Funeral & Cremation Service. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, Oct. 5, at the funeral home. Interment will immediately follow in Oleander Memorial Gardens.
